SportyCamps Child Protection Policy
Child protection is essential to running a successful camp. SportyCamps undertakes some simple steps to ensuring that our staff are appropriately trained so that a quality experience can be enjoyed.
All of our coaches are Enhanced CRB checked before being employed.
An NSPCC Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshop run by Sports Coach UK.
All our coaches have completed first aid training.
Every participant is signed in and out of the camp each day by named parents and guardians and no child will be left at the venue unattended at anytime.
The key stages in appointing a SportyCamps coach are as follows:-
•  Receive application and CV
•  Interview conducted
•  Personal reference checks conducted
•  Submit Enhanced CRB checks
•  SportyCamps Induction, Child Protection Workshop, First Aid Training, and Sport Specific Inset conducted
On-site visits and assessments take place randomly.
You can be confident that our processes and procedures are sufficient to ensure a safe and encouraging environment suitable for children of all ages and abilities.
