SportyCamps Clubs
The Requirements for Hosting a SportyCamp are Simple

Firstly, a suitable, fit for purpose venue is needed. This may be a safe outdoor grassed area for outdoor activities, or a spacious indoor area for indoor activities, at a very basic level, access to toilets and water is vital . (On occasion, our coaches may need a suitable host family.  Familes who offer to do this can offset the cost for their children.)
Secondly, a dedicated point of contact is needed before, during and after the camp. It is no surprise that clubs who actively support the camp over the time, get more from it. This may mean having a designated person on site to liase with parents, supervise the children who they may know better than our staff, and provide access to the clubs own coaching equipment where needed.
Thirdly, Each club will have a site visit conducted by a SportyCamps staff member to complete a risk assessment prior to the camp running. Established clubs may already have risk assessments in place, and SportyCamps will need to be made aware of these. SportyCamps holds public and employers liability insurance as a matter of course. Further information on this is available elsewhere on the website.
Clubs may also take the opportunity to provide 'before' and 'after clubs' for the participants for those parents who may need some additional time. BBQs and photo sessions for the awards ceremony are also ways in which clubs can add to the camp itself, as well as raise additional funds. SportyCamps can help support you in this also.
Finally, a minimum number of participants are needed for each camp to operate. This is not only for costings, but also to ensure that participants enjoy a worthwhile event. It is the nature of some activities, such as team sports, that larger numbers are needed.
