SportyCamps strike the balance between having fun, and progressive skills learning. The secret is to make any learning fun...for both the students and the teacher! SportyCamp participants work through their Skills Passport throughout the week, earning stars as they go, so they can see their improvement.

Also, unlike most other camps, SportyCamps continue year round, through seasonal newsletters packed full of tips and information so that participants can have the skills they learnt reinforced and updated.

SportyCamps are aimed at 6-16 year olds.

Absolutely! Both boys and girls will have a great time on their camp. The coach or instructor in charge will make sure that each individual is able to reach, and then exceed their level.

SportyCamps cater for all-comers, from complete novices to talented and committed players. Participants will be grouped according to age and playing experience to provide a safe and appropriate learning environment.

SportyCamps operate on weekdays Monday to Friday. Camps can be AM only, PM only, AM and PM, 3 day, or 5 day; depending upon the activity. Check the Sports and Courses page for more information.

No, we do not supply sun screen to children. Please send the appropriate SPF factor with your child. We will remind them throughout the day to apply it, and our staff are encouraged to be good role models for Sun Safety! There are regular rest and water breaks to do this.

In case of light rain, the camp will most likely continue. Each SportyCamp has access to indoor facilities. There may be tactical talks, quizzes, and indoor games. Each coach or instructor in charge will make a decision for the group based upon the groups health and welfare. It would be wise to pack appropriate clothing suitable for the British summer! This includes both sunscreen, and waterproof!

Please introduce yourself to the coach or instructor in charge should you wish to do this. We take issues of Child Protection seriously and coaches and instructors have a role to play in ensuring that this is followed.

All coaches are trained and qualified to teach the SportyCamps curriculum at their camp. This means that they are; Qualified in their Sport or Activity, CRB Checked, First Aid Trained, and have completed the NSPCC Safeguarding Children Workshop. Very often they have participated in their sport to a high level, and so are both qualified and experienced.

Each Coach or Instructor undergoes First Aid training prior to working on a SportyCamp. If your child has any medical conditions, these should be noted on the application form. It's also a good idea to introduce yourself to the coach or instructor on your camp to brief them personally about any issues that may arise.

You can call our office phone number at any time during camp hours to find out how your child is, or to alert us to any concerns. Our staff located at each camp are the first port of call for any concerns, but of course our office team will note and follow up any specific issues.

SportyCamps is comprehensivley insured, ensuring that every participant is covered and supported in the very unlikely event of an accident.
